The successor to the much acclaimed, 3.5 year old D700 is on its way, and we have confirmed pricing for those looking to raid their piggy bank to secure one of these bad boys. Recent rumours are correct in that this rendition in the smaller/lighter professional level full frame camera range, which the D700 began, is indeed a whopping 36 megapixel unit, and comes with the latest in D-SLR video technology and more.
First delivery should be April, but in limited numbers….
If you’re looking for an enthusiast / semi-pro camera that is sure not to disappoint, you can’t go wrong with Canon’s EOS 7D D-SLR. With the 7D you can skip the large footprint and high price tag that comes with Canon’s top-level professional units, and yet benefit from very high resolution (18mp) and blistering speeds (8fps) with DIGIC 4 processing. You also get 100% viewfinder coverage, HD video, a 19-point focussing system (with great new controls for selecting these) and much more – and all in a robust, weather-sealed, magnesium alloy body.
Given the recent price drops, the 7D is now even more accessible!
Canon EOS 7D body $1,845
Canon EOS 7D + EF-S 15-85mm IS USM kit $3,000
Note: We will trade your moderately late model D-SLR to help you into a 7D. Just contact us for a quote.
